Delete your account
How to delete your 1 Billion Beers account and everything you posted, whether or not you still have the app. 1 Billion Beers is run by Tally Sport Ltd.
If you have the app
Open 1 Billion Beers and tap the circle with your initial in it, at the top of the feed. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account. Type DELETE, then tap Delete forever. We delete your account straight away. There's no waiting period, and we can't bring it back afterwards.
If you don't have the app any more
Email hello@1billionbeers.com from the address you signed in with and ask us to delete your account. You don't need to reinstall anything. We'll delete it and email you back to say it's done.
If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, your account is under an address ending in privaterelay.appleid.com. To find it on an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Sign-In & Security, then Sign in with Apple, and choose 1 Billion Beers. Put that address in your email so we can find your account.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: your name, your town and your email address.
- Every beer you posted, with its photo or video.
- Every like you gave, and every like other people gave your beers.
- The code we use to send notifications to your phone, if you had them switched on.
The beer counter goes down by the number of beers you posted.
What we keep
If somebody else reported one of your beers and we've already made a decision on it, we keep that report. Our server logs may mention your account for a short while, until they're cleared out. If you also joined our mailing list, that's separate from your account. Say so in your email and we'll take you off it too.
